Targeted lead lists, scrubbed before anyone dials

A list is only worth what you can legally and usefully do with it. We build the list of homeowners and businesses most likely to need your work, refresh the contact details so the numbers actually reach someone, then run every record through our compliance scrubber — national and state Do-Not-Call lists, your own opt-outs and known litigator lists — before a single dial.

The short answer

What is skip tracing?

Skip tracing is finding current contact details for a person or property owner whose information on file has gone out of date. You have the address and the name; skip tracing gives you the phone number and email that work today. For a roofer, that means the owner of the storm-damaged house down the street rather than a disconnected number from a list bought three years ago.

The practical result: fewer wasted dials, better direct mail, and ad audiences built from real local records.

The build

Building the right list

A good list starts with a sharp definition, not a download. We spend the first conversation narrowing who you actually want to reach, because a smaller list of the right people outperforms a big list of anybody every single time.

  1. Define the target

Area, property type, business type, ownership, timing signals — the specific characteristics that make someone a likely buyer for the work you do.

  2. Pull the records

We assemble the list from property and business records that match the definition, at the volume your team can genuinely work.

  3. Enrich the contact details

Current phones, emails and mailing addresses are attached so the record is reachable, not just identifiable.

  4. Confirm the freshness

Every pull comes with its dates so you know exactly how current the details are before you plan a campaign around them.

  5. Scrub the list

The full compliance pass runs next — DNC, opt-outs and litigator screening — so only clean records move forward.

  6. Load it where you work

Clean records go into our CRM for mail, door-knocking routes, ad audiences and calling, in one place with one history.

The scrub

DNC, opt-out and litigator scrubbing

Our compliance scrubber runs every record against the national Do-Not-Call list and state lists, your own opt-outs and unsubscribes, and known litigator lists. Whatever clears goes to the dialer; whatever does not is suppressed from that point forward, permanently. Drag the handle to see the same list before and after.

Before the scrub

A raw list where some numbers sit on Do-Not-Call registries and some belong to people who have already asked you to stop.

After the scrub

Only records that clear every layer reach the dialer, and every opt-out is remembered so nobody gets called twice.

Where it goes

Where to use the list: mail, door, ads and calls

A clean list is useful in more places than a dialer. Move your cursor across the panel to see which channels each cleaned record is ready for — and where a documented opt-in is what opens the door.

  • Direct mail Every cleaned record with a mailing address Ready
  • Door-knocking Mapped routes by neighbourhood and property type Ready
  • Ad audiences Uploaded as a custom audience for Meta and Google Ready
  • Calling Scrubbed records routed to the dialer Ready
  • Texting Opens wherever you hold documented consent Opt-in only

The line we hold

What we keep off your list

Compliance work is only worth doing properly, so here is where Footprint holds the line on every build. Every one of these is a permanent rule, not a setting.

Every dial passes the DNC and litigator screens first

Every opt-out is remembered and honoured from then on

Texting goes only to people who opted in

Your list is built for you and stays yours

Answers

FAQ

The questions owners ask us most about lead data, skip tracing and scrubbing. This is research and process, not legal advice — we always recommend your counsel reviews your specific program.

Does scrubbing make me TCPA-compliant?

Scrubbing removes a large category of risk by taking Do-Not-Call registrations, your opt-outs and known litigator records out of the dialing pool. Consent, your own calling practices and your written disclosures still matter, and we recommend your counsel signs off on the program. We supply the tools, the process and the documentation that make that review straightforward.

Which lists do you check?

The national Do-Not-Call list, state lists for the states you call into, your own internal opt-outs and unsubscribes, and litigator lists of people known to bring claims. Every layer runs on every build, and the results are recorded.

How often do you scrub?

Before every campaign, and again on a recurring schedule so a record that registered later does not slip through. New opt-outs are suppressed the moment they arrive, not at the next cycle.

What about texting these leads?

Texting opens wherever you hold documented consent, and our registration work makes sure the messages that do go out come from a properly registered number. For purchased lists we build your mail, door-knocking, ad-audience and calling programs, and the texting channel grows as consent grows.

Do you give legal advice?

We provide the tools, the process and the documentation, and we point you to counsel for legal sign-off on your specific program. What we can do is make that review fast, because every screen we run is logged and every decision is documented.
